Big teeth, big jaws, big adventure! Sharks evoke strong emotions with everyone, whether you adore them, are fascinated by them or scared of them, sharks certainly hold a special place in people imaginations. But how much do you actually know about them? For example did you know that there are over 550 species of sharks and that a minimum estimate of 100,000,000 tonnes of sharks are taken as by-catch (that’s the discarded part of a fisherman’s catch) every single year! That is frightening and means that nearly every one of the 550 plus species is in danger of extinction very soon.

This is a crying shame considering their role as top predators in the oceans and the fact that they have been around stalking the seas for the last 300-400 million years!

Which is why Royle Safaris specialises in showing people these stunning animals in their natural environment which helps to rise awareness and bring vital money to the conservationists and dive boat operators to help preserve the species. Only by making people realise that sharks are worth far more alive that dead will assure the survival of this group of animals forever.

So how do you do this and where do we go to do this? Well whether its basking sharks in Scotland, whale sharks, tiger sharks, nervous sharks and more in Western Australia, great white sharks, sand-tiger sharks, bull sharks and many more in South Africa, scalloped hammerheads, white-tipped reef sharks and others in the Galapagos Islands or grey-reef sharks, black-tipped reef sharks and more in the Great Barrier Reef we guarantee that if its sharks your interested in we will not let you down!

Our shark diving holidays and been carefully researched and created by our director who has a vested interest in sharks and rays, he is currently writing a book in stingrays and has worked with great whites, tigers, bull and basking sharks as well as stingrays, eagle rays and many more elasmobranch species all over the world; so you can be assured your shark diving experience is in the possible hands.
