All our mammal watching holidays, wildlife tours and safaris all over the world are listed below:

Mammals are the best known, most familiar and dare-say it most loved of all animals in the world. In deed we are part of the mammal family and nearly all of the most well known animals are mammals; elephants, whales, lions, tigers, bears, gorillas, monkeys, giraffes, bats, mice, rabbits and literally thousands more. It is of little surprise then that as people travel more for wildlife watching and nature holidays that mammal watching is one of the fastest growing sectors of ecotourism, catching up with the decades old practice of bird watching holidays.

There are so many mammals and they usually make up the main interest or bulk of a safari holiday it is hard to think of a wildlife watching trip which does not count as a Mammal Watching Holiday, so we have made it easier by categorising all of our safari holidays where mammals are important parts here, and also making various tour types that focus on particular types of mammals such as primates or big cats or sometimes as specific species like jaguars or snow leopards which makes narrowing down your ideal Mammal Watching Tour easier.

As most of the 6,000 or so species of mammals are either bats or rodents and therefore quite hard to see without specific dedication we have also a range of specialist and dedicated mammal watching holidays, these are for people who are expecting long nights of spotlighting for nocturnal mammals, explorations deep into cave systems looking for bats and in some very specialist trips heading out with trained researchers and professionals to trap and handle small mammals.

We appreciate that the great diversity of mammals globally and the difference between casual wildlife lovers who want to see polar bears or blue whales and the hardcore mammal watcher wanting to see the Hispaniolan solenodon or the white-winged vampire bat, so such that finding the right trip can be difficult. So feel free to contact us direct for more information and we can guide you to trips that suit your interests.

All in all we at Royle Safaris believe that we have the greatest range of Mammal Watching Holidays in the world and whatever species you are interested in we will have the Mammalwatching Holiday for you.

All these tours are available on other dates (subject to availability) than the dates listed. Please contact us to arrange a tour on a date which suits you.

Fact of the Day

Platypuses do not have nipples to suckle their young. Instead the milk is secreted from modified sweat glands all over the belly of the female for the young to lap it up
