All our herpetology tours, wildlife holidays and safaris all over the world are listed below:

With a changing reputation from feared, cold and heartless animals to understood, admired and graceful animals; reptiles and amphibians are enjoying a new lease of life in Eco-tourism terms. Whether you want to listen to the chorus of mating tree-frogs in a unexplored rainforest or watch in awe as the tell-tale ‘v’ shaped wave cut through the muddy water of a Northern Territory river to mark the arrival of a 5m salt-water crocodile; herpetology tours are rapidly becoming the tour of choice for most wildlife enthusiasts.

We at Royle Safaris offer many great tours which either have herpetology as the main focus or place reptiles and amphibians very high on the list of animals to find. We travel from the Galapagos Islands (probably the last place in the world which is still dominated by reptiles) to the deserts of Australia to track down some of the most intriguing reptiles and amphibians. We specialise in finding large crocodiles in Australia as well as the rare and endemic snakes, frogs and lizards of south India and Sri Lanka.

In addition to these we also have a fantastic record of seeing many species of sea turtles all over the world and if you are interested in seeing sea turtles as they lay their eggs or even as the hatchings brave the gauntlet of predators as they run for the sea we can arrange these tours at your request.

So have a look below at our herpetology tours and we promise you will be convinced that these animals can be just as endearing and lovable as the cute and furry mammals we see so often on wildlife tours.

All these tours are available on other dates (subject to availability) than the dates listed. Please contact us to arrange a tour on a date which suits you.
