Our wildlife holidays, wildlife tours and safaris of Vietnam are listed below:

Vietnam is an elongated country running along the far eastern coast of mainland South East Asian, home to incredible and stunning limestone karst formations; their unreal appearance dotting the bays and forests of the north; and lush tropical forests which still span large areas of unexplored hillsides. From critically endangered endemic primates dotted around to large herbivores such as Asiatic elephants and guar and from the myth-like saola to a wide range of migratory birds, Vietnam offers something for all wildlife enthusiasts.

Conservation or even wildlife may not be the first thing you think of when Vietnam is mentioned, but there is a wealth of wildlife here. There are some of the world’s least explored forests and mountains (namely the Annamites which Vietnam shares with Cambodia) and it is these forests which have resulted in the last large mammals being discovered in the world. Some as recently as the 1990’s!

Whilst we can arrange trips which head deep into these forests in hope of finding any evidence of the continued existence of some of these elusive animals such as soala and large-antlered muntjacs, most of our Vietnam Wildlife Holidays focus on the more commonly seen primates. Vietnam has a huge diversity of primates, many of which are endemic to Vietnam or this part of South East Asia. Some of these species have been reduced to such small numbers that they total just 50-60 animals in the wild.

Poaching is rife in Vietnam and the forests and all protected areas are under increasing pressure from growing populations all around their borders. We believe that now is the time for Vietnam to embrace eco tourism, which is why we are doing our best to promote and run wildlife watching holidays here. Animals such as red-shanked doucs, pangolins, ferret-badgers and rare gibbons can all be seen on our wildlife holidays. There are few places in the world that offer such a range of incredibly rare wildlife.

Join one of our wildlife tours to Vietnam and be one of the few people to spend time with the critically endangered Delacour’s langur, enjoy a rich variety of world class cuisine, cruise the stunning Ha Long Bay and spotlight the forests of Cat Tien looking for elusive nocturnal mammals and birds. For anyone interested I wildlife and in particular rare wildlife, Vietnam is the place for you!

All these tours are available on other dates (subject to availability) than the dates listed. Please contact us to arrange a tour on a date which suits you.
