A country which has long been one of the best places in the world for wildlife and we try to do it justice with a few delicious tours. Whether you are interested in culture, history, marine mammals, sharks, big game, reptiles or birds; South Africa has it all. The common big 5 that has become the hallmark of top wildlife reserves and some National Parks around Africa have extended this to a big 7 in this magnificent country.

Added to the lion, leopard, African elephant, rhinos (both white and black) and cape buffalo, which already thrill people from all over the world, where the southern-right whale and great white shark. Whilst most of the original big 5 are readily seen at any time of the year in the huge national parks such as Kruger, the sharks and whales are often more seasonal; coming into the rich and diverse South African waters to take advantage of bountiful food supplies or sheltered lagoons for calving. Because of this all our tours here are timed to perfection to make the most of all these events.

But it is not just the wildlife that makes this arguably the greatest country in the world for wildlife variety; since the end of apartheid and the instalment of the great Nelson Mandela as president the entire country has been enjoying a renaissance. As tourism increases hand over fist South Africa has quickly become the cultural capital of sub-Saharan Africa and some of tours explore parts of the country in depth. Whether it is during a road trip across the famous Garden Route or enjoying 10 days around Cape Town you will get a true reflection of this wonderful unique country.

Join one of our specialist tours and you will be thrilled as you stalk Cape Mountain zebra and ostriches in Table Mountain National Park, jump into a cage surrounded by formidable great white sharks, snap away on your camera at the huge herds of game and maybe catch a kill whilst out in Kruger National Park or simply chill out on the Victoria and Albert docks enjoying a glass of South Africa red under the shadow of Table Mountain. But be quick as South Africa has never been so popular as the success of the 2010 World Cup will live long in the memory.

All these tours are available on other dates (subject to availability) than the dates listed. Please contact us to arrange a tour on a date which suits you.
