Our wildlife holidays, wildlife tours and safaris of Scotland are listed below:
Being a wildlife enthusiast growing up in England I have always thought of Scotland as the closest truly wild place to me. After visiting there and working there on different conservation and research projects in Scotland I think I’m still right. Besides the amazing bird life which welcomes back the white-tailed sea eagle and the increasing populations of ospreys and golden eagles, the rare Salvonian grebe and the impressive black grouse and capercailles; Scotland in the summer has beautiful rolling meadows, glens and moors which are home to blooming wild flowers and their equally stunning pollunators the butterflies and moths! And if the flowers, butterflies, moths and impressive array of avi-fauna does not impressive you the largest populations of red, roe and sika deer in the UK will, these mixed in with so many marine mammals you will wonder why anyone travels abroad for whale watching holidays!
Scottish whale watching is amazing; there are 26 species of cetacean (whales, dolphins and porpoises) known from the waters of Europe of which 24 have been recorded from British waters. Most of these in Scotland, the chances of seeing all 24 in one trip are very slim but we should have little trouble in ticking off a fair few! Our tours of Scotland range from the east coast and our own chartered boat to find minke whales, common bottlenose dolphins and harbour porpoises in the Moray Firth to spending three full days around the Isle of Mull in search for orcas, common dolphins, basking sharks and many more species. We also spend time travelling through the heart of the highlands and of course try and find the elusive Loch Ness Monster!!
But in all seriousness if you want to see the best of British wildlife you really should join us on one of our wildlife tours to Scotland where a beautiful red deer stag and a group of playful common bottlenose dolphins is just the start of the wildlife fun.
All these tours are available on other dates (subject to availability) than the dates listed. Please contact us to arrange a tour on a date which suits you.
