Our wildlife holidays, wildlife tours and safaris of Argentina are listed below:

Ever seen the famous shots of orca beaching themselves to catch the southern sea lions? That footage immortalised by the BBC series The Trails of Life was filmed off the coast of Peninsula Valdes along the Patagonian coastline. Well you can be one of the few people to see it for real on our specialist tour to Argentina which focuses on this spectacular phenomenon.

Argentina is a land of extremes, from the sprawling plains of the pampas to the highest mountain on the Americas (Cerro Aconcagua 6,962m) and from the massive Iguazu Falls in the north to the desolate Teirra del Fuego.

Being one of the top ten largest countries in the world there is a wealth of environments and of course different wildlife. The wildlife ranges from jaguars, capybaras, spectacled caimans and howler monkeys to pumas, guanacos and Andean condors; but the marine life here is equally of not more impressive, boasting orcas, southern-right whales, southern elephant seals, southern sea lions and Magellanic penguins.

Our Argentina whale watching tour focuses on Patagonia which stretches south from the Rio Negro until it reaches the isolated Teirra del Fuego and encompasses a huge expanse of land. The east coast plays host to an abundant source of life. The currents which sweep past the coast bring with them huge quantities of plankton and krill which in turn bring their predators. Namely fish, squid and whales. The fish provide the food for southern sea lions and the squid for the largest pinniped (seal or sea lion) in the world the southern elephant seal and it is the former sea lions which are the cause for excitement among the resident pods of orca. Every year for a few short weeks the huge dorsal fins can be seen cutting through the water close to shore as they await the perfect tide and conditions to launch a blistering attack on the pups and it is moment like that we are waiting for.

Join one of our wildlife tours to Argentina and view the largest dolphin in the world as they beach themselves to catch sea lions in what has been described as the greatest wildlife event in the world!
