Costa Rica Wildlife Exploration

The main reason for wanting to go to Costa Rica was to see the abundance of diverse flora and fauna. We did see a lot of different species - though often only through the lens of a powerful bird-spotting telescope. We were confined to well-cordoned tourist trails and most of the birds were very high up in the canopy. But we did see a lot and could not complain about the effort afforded by the guides. The Leatherback turtle and Baird's tapir were the larger highlights but there were many species of birds we also saw.
