Siberian Tiger Photography Tour February 2022 – Spaces Available

As part of Royle Safaris’ range of wildlife watching holidays and big cat safaris of the Russian Far East we have developed a unique wildlife photography tour focused around the stunning Siberian tiger. We have explored various private reserves and protected forests over the last 10 years and we have found a couple of locations where Siberian tigers are known and can be seen with relative frequency. It is in these private reserves we have built specialist photography hides located overlooking areas where the Siberian tigers can be spotted.

These hides are professionally designed and allow for 1-2 people inside, with heating, observation windows, camera holes and mounts as well as an eco-toilet, chairs and beds so you can overnight in the hide and therefore increase your chances of seeing a Siberian tiger. You will have the assistance of a local ranger who works in the reserve and has decades of experience tracking and understanding the predators in these forests, along with the reserve staff and your own guide and translator you will be in good hands as you try to become one of the first non-Russians to see wild Siberian tigers.

We choice winter for these trips, partly because it is easier to track tigers in the snow, as well as the fact that they are more active in the harsher winter periods, but also we find that most people’s image of Siberian tigers and their desire to see one is linked with the snow covered fozen forests of winter in the Russian Far East.
