On arrival at Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe you will meet your guide and pilot (Gavin) and he will transfer you the short distance to Kasane Airport in Botswana. Gavin will then fly you into the heart of the Okovango Delta, the largest inland delta in the world and home to thousands and thousands of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and fish. You will arrive at your accommodation, level – luxury safari tents (Okovango Delta Lodge). The tents are en-suit with their own private deck. There is also a communal bar, lounge, dining room, swimming pool as well as observation decking over the water hole. You will be able to explore the surrounding area in traditional canoes (mokoros) or motorboats and search for some rarities found locally like the sitatunga and Pels fishing owl. You will have our evening meal at your accommodation.
Moremi Game Reserve
This morning you will rise before sunrise and have a morning game drive around the area and have brunch before Gavin will fly you to the world famous Moremi Game Reserve. We will stay in the Xakanaxa region of the park at the Xakanaxa Lodge, the lodge is built on high stilts which allow for fantastic views of the Xakanaxa lagoon. It is here that the permanent waters of the delta meet the Kalahari sands which supports a varied array of wildlife from Nile crocodiles to giraffes. The birding here is also superb. You will have the afternoon game drive and arrive back at camp after sun set for your evening meal at the accommodation, level – safari lodge (Xakanaxa Lodge).
Moremi Game Reserve
Today we will spend the full day wildlife viewing in this amazing area. There truly is something for everyone here, from huge elephant herds, acrobatic displays from lilac-breasted rollers or the enormous termite mounds you will not be disappointed at every turn. We will take a packed lunch with us as we track down some of the rarer animals like the famous wild dog, leopard and of course lion. We will arrive back after sunset for our evening meal at our accommodation, level – safari lodge (Xakanaxa Lodge).
After another morning game drive around the local area, hoping to come across a kill from the night before you will have brunch before Gavin will fly you across Moremi Game Reserve to the predator capital of southern Africa Savuti. Once we arrive at our accommodation, level – luxury en-suit bungalows (Camp Savuti) we will settle in and see if we can find some of huge bull elephants which inhabit this area as well as the host of predators from lions, leopards, cheetahs, wild dogs and hyena. We will have our evening meal at the accommodation.
Today you will rise very early so we can catch the predators as they are most active. The area has been made famous by the numerous National Geographic documentaries made here over the years and the abundance of predators makes sure we will see some interesting behaviours. You will spend as much time as possible in the field will a packed lunch provided and a return to camp after sunset for your evening meal at the accommodation, level – luxury en-suit bungalows (Camp Savuti).
Today, as yesterday, you will get up early so that we can make the most of the morning activity of most species. As well as the predators the huge bull elephants that congregate here make for fascinating viewing and we assure you that close up pictures are guaranteed. We will end the game viewing by watching the sunset over the Savuti Channel or a water hole as the animals come for a drink. We will return to the accommodation, level – luxury en-quit bungalows, to have our evening meal.
Chobe National Park
This morning you will have a full morning game drive followed by some brunch before Gavin will fly you to another area of Chobe National Park next to the Chobe River. You will be escorted to your accommodation, level – luxury safari lodge (Chobe Lodge) where you will spend the rest of the afternoon by the pool watching the monkeys, baboons and warthogs as they visit the lodge. During the evening and night larger animals pass by as the your lodge overlooks the famous Chobe River. Your evening meal will be at your accommodation.
Chobe National Park
Today you have a full days activities around the Chobe River where we will have the chance of spending some amazing time in one of the most incredible places in Africa. The Chobe River has huge breeding herds of elephants and buffalo which we will spend lots of time around hoping to see a herd playing and swimming in the river. There are also many lions here and we will try and find some interacting with the many buffalo. You will have a boat cruise down the river and the birding along the river is excellent with the African skimmer a particular gem. We will also track down hippo and crocodiles along the river. You will have your evening meal back at the accommodation, level – luxury safari lodge (Chobe Lodge).
Victoria Falls National Park (Zimbabwe)
You will have the morning game driving around the Chobe River once again and after breakfast you will leave and be transferred across the border to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. This afternoon you will be taken to one of the seven natural wonders of the world the Mosi-oa-Tunya or the Smoke that Thunders. The sight and sounds of Africas largest waterfall and one of the largest in the world will live with you forever. Towards the end of the day you will be taken to your accommodation for your evening meal, level – luxury safari lodge (Victoria Falls Safari Lodge), this lodge overlooks a floodlit waterfall and where many animals frequently come down for a drink. It is not unusual to see warthogs, banded mongoose, baboons, monkeys, elephants, buffalo all in one evening. There is also a spectacular view of the falls and the Zambezi River. All in all it is one of the most amazing places to spend your last night in Africa.
Today after breakfast you will have the opportunity to visit the local curios in Zimbabwe before being transferred to Victoria Falls airport in time to catch your return flight to Johannesburg in time for your connection home.
Please note that the itinerary stated above is correct as our planned intentions for the tour. However adverse weather conditions and other local considerations can necessitate some modifications of the itinerary during the course of the tour; any changes will be made to make the best of the time and weather conditions available to us.

With the temperature in the mid twenties (degrees C) and very low rainfall and humidity this is among the best times to visit Botswana and Zimbabwe.
Everything mentioned in the itinerary is included. Including three meals per day (breakfast, lunch and dinner). There will be an amount of bottled water (approx 1ltr) available for each guest each day. We have our own private vehicle to be driven by a local guide as well as the use of a private plane for travel from one site to the next this is to be flown by your guide Gavin. You will get unlimited daylight game viewing inside the parks and reserves as well.
All our excursions including treks, guided walks, Mokoro canoe trip and park entrance fees are also included.
We recommend you bring along your own binoculars or scope as well as appropriate clothing; which should be light and airy. The nights can be chilly so a fleece, long trousers and woolly hat are a good idea. Comfortable walking shoes are a must. Insect repellent is needed. Any medication, books or other items of a personal nature is of course up to you to bring along. Oh and please bring plenty of memory cards or film for your camera. Also do not forget sun cream, sun hat and sun glasses as the sun can be very strong here during the day.
We provide a comprehensive species list of all the vertebrates present in the areas we are visiting as well as some of the best field guides and reference books for the areas we are visiting. There is usually a spare pair of binoculars but in a group of 4-6 people these do not stretch too far. Camera Traps will also be used to try and capture hard to see wildlife in the dead of night.
Nearly everything is included in this tour. The only things not included are international flights, travel insurance (contact us for more information one what is required from your insurance policy), any food bought outside of the three main meals, drinks outside of any offered with the meals and the bottled water provided each day and any items of a personal nature such as souvenirs and tips.

All UK passport holders are not required to have a visa for Botswana but a visa is required for travel Zimbabwe; this is currently £40 for a single entry and can be obtained on the port of arrival. There are no mandatory vaccinations needed to visit Botswana or Zimbabwe, but it is recommended to be protected against TB, polio, typhoid, tetanus and hepatitis It is however very important to be taking a form of malaria prophylactics during your time in Botswana and Zimbabwe. Please consult your GP about your individual requirements for visiting Botswana and Zimbabwe as soon as you have decided on this trip.
