This morning you will have a pre-breakfast game drive as this is the best time to see the magnificent Mt. Kilimanjaro before the clouds set in and obscure the view. It is also the best time to find the big cats of the park and we will spend the time trying to find predators hunting or finishing off a meal from the previous night. Breakfast will be relaxed with the rest of the morning at your leisure. There will be an optional visit to a local Maasai village and after lunch there will be an afternoon game drive where you will visit the observation hill. Where the entire park can clearly been seen. Your evening meal will once again be at your accommodation, luxury safari lodge (Amboseli Serena Lodge).
This morning you will have an early morning breakfast and a short game drive as you leave Amboseli. From here you will proceed to Magadi (7 hours) in the South Rift region whilst enjoying the magnificent scenery of the Great Rift Valley. We will stop off at Lake Magadi to see the huge flocks of flamingos, pelicans and numerous other bird species on the lake edge. If you want, with prior arrangement, we can meet with Magadi Soda Company (Africas largest soda ash manufacturer). After the lake you will continue onwards to your accommodation, level – luxury safari lodge / bush camp (Loisiijo Lodge / Sampu Tented Camp) and your evening meal.
South Rift Valley
Over the next two days you will explore this rarely visited area of Kenya; the Shompole and Oliramatian Community managed conservancies. There are numerous activities which can be done here and depending on the local conditions your local guide will decide which ones to conduct over the next two days. The activities include; a morning walk with a troop of habituated baboons. Here you will understand their behaviour whilst walking with your Maasai guide Joel Njonjo who has a close affinity with the baboons. There are hikes leading up the Nguruman Escarpment, situated at the southern most tip of Kenya the area is stunning to walk around and the clear mountain streams, montane vegetation and wealth of wildlife will compel you to carry on walking all day. You may also make a cultural visit and see how the Maasai people live there lives. By talking and spending time around Maasai people you will fall in love with their traditions and how they live alongside the natural world in harmony. There are also of course day and night game drives to see the abundant wildlife such as over 60 species of mammals and 350 bird species. You will have all your meals at your accommodation, level – luxury safari lodge / bush camp (Loisiijo Lodge / Sampu Tented Camp).
