Day 1
Nelspurit / Kruger National Park
On arrival at Kruger Mpumalanga Airport you will be met by your zoologist guide/driver and depending on the time you arrived we will either head straight towards the main gate into Kruger National Park and onto a first camp (1-2 hours), level – bush camp bungalow (Berg-en-Dal / Lower Sabie / Crocodile Bridge). If this is the case then we will get your first opportunity to view Kruger National Parks wildlife as we drive through the south of the park towards our camp but if your flight is an afternoon/evening arrival you will be transferred to accommodation in Nelspurit, level – 4* (Shandon Lodge Guesthouse / La Rocha Guesthouse). We will eat our lunch or lunch and dinner (depending on the time) at our accommodation or along the way if we are heading into the park. The rest of the evening is at your leisure.
Day 2
Kruger National Park
This morning we will rise early regardless of where we spent the night, however if we inside Kruger National Park we will rise very early and get ready for a morning game drive. If we are in Nelsuprit we can rise a little later and enjoy breakfast before driving into Kruger and arriving at one of the following camps (1-2 hours), level – bush camp bungalow (Berg-en-Dal / Lower Sabie / Crocodile Bridge). Once here we will proceed onto a game drive. The game drives around these three camps are great, the southern parts of the national park play host to a massive variety of wildlife. The most commonly seen animals here include white rhino, cheetah, leopards, giraffes, klipspringers, kudu, spotted hyenas, scarlet-chested sunbirds, Heuglin’s robins, common hippopotamus, lions, goliath herons, giant kingfishers and of course near Crocodile Bridge camp Nile crocodiles. We will have around 6-8 hours of game driving during the day, coming back to the camp for lunch and our evening meal. In the evening there will also be a night drive with the national park rangers. Here the spotlighting is a great way to find the nocturnal animals such as leopards, spotted hyenas, springhares, African crested porcupines and aardvarks.
Day 3
Kruger National Park
This morning we will have a guided morning walk outside the perimeter of the camp. The walk is conducted by the national park wardens and allows you a unique chance to track rhinos, elephants or even lions on foot with trained guides. After the walk we will have breakfast before heading out for a few more hours of game driving. Our lunch will be back at the camp and after another game drive we will once again have a night drive. Our accommodation, level – bush camp bungalow (Berg-en-Dal / Lower Sabie / Crocodile Bridge).
Day 4
Kruger National Park
Today we will do the same as yesterday, including a morning walk, game drives and night drive. Our accommodation, level – bush camp bungalow (Berg-en-Dal / Lower Sabie / Crocodile Bridge).
Day 5
Kruger National Park
This morning we will once again have a guided walk or a sunrise game drive with the national park wardens. After we return and have had breakfast we will spend the rest of the day leisurely driving north towards our next campsite, level – bush camp bungalow (Olifonts / Letaba). Along the way we have a good chance of spotting African elephants, lions, common hippopotamus, Nile crocodiles, martial eagles, bushbuck, red-headed weavers, African fish eagles, Burchells zebra, blue wildebeest, black-backed jackals and many other animals. After lunch and settling in we will have more game drive time around the park before a night drive in the evening. Our evening meal will be in the camp.
Day 6
Kruger National Park
This morning we will again rise before dawn and have a guided walk or sunrise drive. After this and breakfast we will have a full day game driving again, interrupted for lunch back at the camp. Here we have a good chance of spotting red-billed buffalo weavers, lions, giraffes, blue wildbeest, honey badgers, cape buffalo, leopard tortoises, ground hornbills and saddle-billed storks. Once we arrive at the camp we will have lunch and then head back out for more game driving. The evening will be spent with a night drive before our evening meal.

We will stop for lunch along the way at another camp. Our evening meal will be at our accommodation, level – 4* (Shandon Lodge Guesthouse / La Rocha Guesthouse). Extra Information

Weather Conditions
October is considered one of the best times to visit Kruger as we are at the very end of the dry season and the low water levels have concentrated all the animals around them, making game viewing very good and easy. The temperatures are also very nice and hover between a low of 16 and a high of 32 degrees C. The very first rains of the rainy season occur towards the end of October and this can make for an unforgettable experience as the landscape changes over night.

What’s Included
Everything mentioned in the itinerary is included. Including three meals per day (breakfast, lunch and dinner). There will be an amount of bottled water (approx 1ltr) available for each guest each day. We have our own private air conditioned vehicle with an excellent driver. We have a zoologist to escort you on all your excursions.
All our excursions including guided walks, sunrise, morning, evening, sunset and night drives rides and park entrance fees are also included.

Personal Equipment
We recommend you bring along your own binoculars or scope as well as appropriate clothing; which should be light and airy clothes as well as comfortable walking shoes. As the nights can be chilly we recommend you bring a fleece, long trousers, scarf and a woolly hat. A water proof coat is also a good idea. Insect repellent is handy as there can be mosquitoes about during the evenings and nights. Andy medication, books or other items of a personal nature is of course up to you to bring along. Oh and please bring plenty of memory cards or film for your camera. Also do not forget sun cream, sun hat and sun glasses as the sun can be strong here during the day.

Included Equipment
We provide a comprehensive species list of all the vertebrates present in the areas we are visiting as well as some of the best field guides and reference books for the areas we are visiting. There is usually a spare pair of binoculars but in a group of 4-6 people these do not stretch too far.

Extra Expenses
Nearly everything is included in this tour. The only things not included are international flights, travel insurance (contact us for more information one what is required from your insurance policy), any food bought outside of the three main meals, drinks outside of any offered with the meals and the bottled water provided each day and any items of a personal nature such as souvenirs and tips. Any applicable departure taxes and not included (but maybe included in the cost of your flights). Please check before departure.

Flight Information
As we are based in Manchester we recommend flights from Manchester International Airport
We recommend Emirates or KML as good airlines for flights to Johannesburg and from Johannesburg we recommend South African Airways for the journey from Johannesburg to Nelspurit/Kruger Mpumalanga. One of the best websites to search for the best fares is for both flights is www.opodo.co.uk. They are an IATA accredited agent and this provides all the securities related to ATOL protection. Please check our terms and conditions regarding booking flights.
Please contact us for more information about flights and we can provide you with a link direct to the flights from another supplier; in which case you only have to enter the passenger information and payment details. By using the above link you will leave our site and we at Royle Safaris hold no responsibility for the content on the site.
